Ski hills closed, I didn't go away. I got great work doing tarot readings and massage, had incredible thai, as well as a few great days with some great people, a treat 'hostel', more like hotel, some skiing in some insane conditions- pouring wet slashing snow and true white outs, but skiing it was, anyhow. Enough to make me know not to continue wasting money on it. Either great conditions, or save those coins for something worth it.
I'm trying something I've never tried before.
Always said I'd do dreads if I couldn't keep my hair clean in my travels. Figured it'd be hard, living on beaches in Europe. But then I never lived on beaches. Thought it'd be hard in Africa, but then I washed near every day, even if it was with a cup over a bucket....
But then I wandered across Canada, living out of a car and a tent. Still I washed.
I know people who don't wash their hair, they just scrub it with water. One guy here hasn't 'washed' his hair since December last year! Over the years I've seen it a few times, and sort of fell into the thought that I'd give it a go. Ideas of it being good for my hair, too. The longest I've ever gone was probably on a California- BC trip, maybe 5 days, or else via Shambhala- about the same.... till now.
It's gloriously disgusting! Though you can't really tell, I still feel pretty gross. Even though I shower and scrub it every day, it's bugging me. It's only been One measly week, so maybe it takes longer to get used to, but I feel pretty gross. I think it's time to end this trial.
Alas, I've failed miserably at this one.... at least that's my thought. Perhaps I'll just have a quick shower tonight and, as I've said the last few days, maybe I'll wash it later.... not a lot of time for it right now either. Ahhh, travel tales.
Yes, I know,... I'm envied. hehehe
